Dan Oros joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and the Green Growth Fund in 2009. The Green Growth Fund invests in fast-growing companies with initial market adoption looking for growth capital. Since joining the GGF team, his primary focus area have been on distributed generation, financial services, and industrial technologies. He is a Board member at Kilowatt Financial and has worked closely with the teams at Clean Power Finance, TAS Energy, Amonix, and Gen110 (acquired by Solar Universe in 2013).
Before joining KPCB, Dan was a vice president in the Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group and a member of its alternative energy investing team. Dan most recently led the team’s effort in the solar industry. He was directly involved with its investments in First Solar and SunEdison, while also advising on technology and financing for Goldman’s activities in solar power plant development. Before joining the Special Situations Group, Dan was an FX trader at Goldman Sachs, where in addition to his role as a EUR trader, he coordinated the implementation of their automated electronic market making platform.
Dan holds a B.S. degree with distinction in management science and engineering from Stanford University, with a concentration in financial and decision engineering.
